Special Features
Unitron has given the Indigo open ear hearing a very unique feature called AutoPro4™. This feature uses the sound environment you are in to automatically determine the optimum setting to deliver clear sounds.
Comments, Pros & Cons
Unitron Hearing continues to offer a higher level of features at lower cost. Unitron Indigo Moda delivers great sound at an affordable price. The Unitron Moxi open ear hearing aid has cutting edge receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) technology. The Moxi series is getting a lot of recommendations from audiologists across the US.
Pros:
-
- A fully automated switching program with manual overrides if you want to use them.
- A nice size with many tube and dome sizes to ensure a good fit.
- Versatility of the button on the aid. The button can only perform one function, but you get to choose the function.
- Large variety of tip styles gives the Moxi the ability to fit an amazing range of losses.
Cons:
-
- Hard to find with the Indigo. It does live up to its advertised abilities well.
- Some ears will find some irritation from the banana-like shape near the bottom of the hearing aid.
- The Unitron Slim Tubes for the Indigo Moda need a little bending to fit some people.
- there may be too many choices due to regular and power models of each level.
- Receiver-in-the-canal type open ear hearing aids require ongoing maintenance of the tip that goes in the canal.
